Leo has spent 25 years building and leading engineering organizations through rapid scale. He led SRE for Wikipedia at the Wikimedia Foundation, serving billions of requests a month; ran platform engineering at Grindr through hypergrowth; and led TechOps and InfoSec at Backcountry.com, where he built the security organization from scratch, took the company through its first PCI compliance, and drove millions in annual savings. He is also founder and managing director of CONFLICT, the studio that backs Calliope Labs.
He builds Calliope AI™ from the buyer's seat: a forward-deployed founder who needed to run AI inside a perimeter he controlled and built the stack when the market did not have one. Reliability, security, and compliance are not afterthoughts in the product because they were never afterthoughts in the career. He works across Miami, Salt Lake City, and Costa Rica.
